Terms & Guidelines
1-Tresamigosfishing is owned and operated by a local Costa Rican family. We are NOT fishing charters brokers in Puerto Jimenez, when contacting via: Email, text or phone call you will be talking to Cap. Eduardo Avellan a fluently English speaking boat captain and Former boutique hotels manager in different areas of the county with many years’ experience in ecotourism.
2- We like ours potential guest to contact us directly, we provide all tools available and quick response to all questions and needs at the moment of planning your fishing adventure in The Osa Peninsula. No one is authorized besides Cap. Eduardo Avellan to contact you to check on fishing itineraries, reservations or pending payments.
3- Tresamigosfishing requires a 50% deposit at the moment of booking your fishing charters and all services related to our business. Remaining balance will be bill 10 days prior your fishing trips. Non-refundable if you are a no show, or cancel your trip with less than 5 days’ notice. Cancellations with more than 5 days’ notice incur a booking fee of 20%. If weather does not permit a fishing charter to go ahead and you are unable to reschedule a 100% refund will be reimburse on a max period of 10 days via PayPal.
4- Fishing licenses and stamp physical passports are necessary at the moment of boarding our fishing vessels You can obtain a weekly, monthly, or yearly fishing license through INCOPESCA (stands for Costa Rican Institute of Fishing and Aquaculture), the official government agency. https://www.incopesca.go.cr
5. We demand information in advance of any special medical needs, dietary or physical situation that we should evaluate at the time of booking your fishing charters. If you require any special medication from time to time, please bring enough for the trip and tell our captains how often this should be provided.
6- At all times attend the indications of your captain and crew, both in security issues and rules and procedures established. We have made all reasonable efforts to identify and minimize any risks associated with your experience of our services. You agree to adhere to any rules set by us in connection with our services and failure to comply will result in cancellation or cessation of the fishing charter in which event you will forfeit any payment made. Tresamigosfishing are alleviated from any liability caused by passengers not adhering or conforming to stated recommendations and rules outlined by crew on board the vessel.
